Rubber LeBaron and the shape shifting, multiplying, erupting "Bug Bite" (Official Video)

"a bump in the night... bug bite!"

"Bug Bite" by L.A. based Rubber LeBaron mixes a heavy rock attack one moment and then spirals into more free form tones stirring in lounge rock with dashes of jazz rock melodies and then shifts again into an avant garde flavored alternative rock, post punk blend. All the while, the vocal aesthetic struck me in a kind of 90's indie rock way (an amalgam of Incubus, Drowning Pool, and 311). Interesting, eclectic, sometimes odd, tightly constructed, top notch musicality and goes down smoothly.

Rubber LeBaron shares:

"Proudly written, recorded and produced by us, at home. Lyrically 'Bug Bite' touches on feelings of fear, paranoia, jealousy, regret and ultimately the human condition. The music is at once frenetic and jarring and then placid and dream-like, much like the ups and downs of life itself."

Rubber LeBaron are comprised of Will Bentley (vocals, guitar, production), Rob Calhoun (guitar, production), Max Hagen (drums) and Jeremy Gruber (bass). Crazy, engaging Official Video Directed by Nick Zweig and Nick Donatelli.
