The Manic Boys And Girls Club and the bittersweet pop rock punches of "Blacked Out"

"last night I blacked out, it happens more than I talk about"

"Blacked Out" by Toronto's The Manic Boys And Girls Club sparkles with 80's new wave tones and current starry eyed indie pop urgency. This artful music project of pop rock duo and siblings Bela and Fernando Ferreira crush together driven guitar rock and synth pop. The sound here on this track "A cry for help disguised as an upbeat dance floor banger" feels classic and sort of hyper realistic, pushing broad indie and ultra pop with a kind of heartland rock sensibility like Cindy Lauper, meets Arcade Fire, meets The Killers meets Supercar.

“Blacked Out” is the new single from the pair's upcoming debut EP produced by Gavin Brown (Glorious Sons, Billy Talent, Mother Mother) which "recounts the two loners' experience touring in a van, relationships and bad habits."

The Manic Boys And Girls Club is a Toronto indie pop/rock duo consisting of siblings Bela and Fernando Ferreira. Blending lush synthesizers with overdriven guitars, The MBG Club successfully takes you from an indie dance party to the feeling of an arena filled with an ocean of followers; but most importantly, away from reality.

“Blacked Out” is the new single from their forthcoming debut EP produced by Gavin Brown (Glorious Sons, Billy Talent, Mother Mother) which recounts the two loners' experience touring in a van, relationships and bad habits.

A cry for help disguised as an upbeat dance floor banger.
