Kevin Healey and the progressive funk rock shape shifter "Bad Blood"

The gleefully dark guitar driven "Bad Blood" by singer songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, DIY producer Kevin Healey (aka Eddie Kite and half of the art rock duo Wish Tank) is a jammy progressive shape shifter and a "gritty tribute to a family member who overcame alcohol addiction". The tightly twisted bass line and elusive guitar work anchored by lively beats suggests a three piece band sound and, for whatever reason, I thought of a specific 90's period when jam rock knitted with funk seemed to be holding on for dear life as grunge was washing over the scene. As referenced in past reviews, Healey is a gifted writer and guitarist whose song shapes feel inspired and free form just like his compelling lead breaks.

K. Healey (aka Eddie Kite) is a singer-songwriter and associate professor of media studies in the seacoast region of New Hampshire. Kevin's work ethic is strictly DIY.
