"it’s a subtle suffocation / a tiny little fix / they’re playing with fire and I’m playing with matchsticks..."
The raucous, alt rock / post punk precipice standing energy of Dublin based SPRINTS' full tilt churner "Little Fix" is both badass and joyous in it's politico clenched fist power. The mosh worthy, surf punk distilled beat with big bass lines and screaming guitars conjures black and white imagery in my head from social unrest, to hot sweaty claustrophobic midnight haunts at L.A clubs (back in my day), to late 70's proto punk icons on The Old Grey Whistle Test. To me, SPRINTS' sonic essence brings to mind a collision of artists like Gang of Four, Savages and Queens of the Stone Age.
Of the song front woman / singer Karla Chubb shares:
"Plagued by insecurities, imposter syndrome and gender stereotypes, Little Fix is the culmination of all my fears - the, sometimes, self applied pressure that as a woman in music I can’t just be good, I have to be great.
I feel like I am in a constant state of proving myself. That no matter what I achieve, learn, write, play or sing, there will always be a critic, a voice in the crowd or in my head telling me that it’s still not good enough, that there’s a million men out there who are better and I’ll always just be “good for a girl”.

"Little Fix" is from the band's EP ‘Modern Job’ (produced once again by Gilla Band’s Daniel Fox).
