"I'm so tired, so tired..."
When you dip into "In the Snow" by New Orleans based Starman Jr., the dream pop project, moniker of singer-songwriter, musician Adam Porter, bedroom pop guitar, easy beat and Adam's wistful vocal aesthetic charms you right away but (for me) it is the lo-fi melodious synth at 27 seconds in that pulls you in for a hard embrace. There are moments of pure beauty, the stair stepping keys, mellotron-esque line mirroring the vox and just the overall loveliness of it all. As the song moves along the melodies interweave as it expands like a beautiful white out to get lost in.
"In the Snow" is from Starman Jr.'s recent released 2022 full length "Hardcore".
