Santans and the unexpected simmering exposure of "rho fiera" (Official Video)

"Time exposure photograph is captured / But it got wrongly aligned / Blurry lines they shine bright will I remember the moments alight?"

In Satans' deep grooved, mind bending "rho fiera" he creates a free form indie rock narrative with funky moves as well as psychedelic post rock dances. He seems to be asking curious questions (at least in my mind) or creating a surreal place were cameras might reveal other things or truths in the developing film and yes, Satans refers to old school cameras. In his world the truths (or other things) are not realized digitally in real time. There is the mention of carrying the precious cargo. Do you even remember the plastic containers holding film role as extra protection from the light? I do.

Satans is the moniker of singer songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and guitarist extraordinaire (me speaking) Chris Scott Pham based in Munich (Germany) and his genre bending here and on a lot of his songs / compositions are so captivating. I feel a free spirited approach to his art. "rho fiera" with the exquisite lead guitar work that dips to that unexpected note more than once and his vocal aesthetic that pushes 90's indie rock personas while infusing it with soul pop vibes offers surprises. Satans' cinematic shapes, journey makes me think of a diverse late 70's glitter dipped amalgam of artists like Chic, Bowie, Hall & Oates and Be Bop Deluxe.

"rho fiera" is the final single off of Satans' upcoming EP. Yeah, fucking yes.

We get by with a little help from our friends
