Cafe Velorio and the surreal deliciously hypnotic "Un Águila Cazo un Tiburón en Miami"

"I devour I am lascivious / The prey is served / These seas are mine..."

The jagged, angular, psych rock moves of Montevideo, Uruguay based Cafe Velorio is deliciously hypnotic. Step into "Un Águila Cazo un Tiburón en Miami" and you might see otherworldly characters in your head, a world of capers or danger as created by Antonio Prohías and Salvador Dalí and Guillermo del Toro. The cinematic sound twisted by pits of proto punkian tendencies, art rock, deeply dove psychedelia and an empowered vocal aesthetic that feels part interrogator / part ghost story teller (and we are the quivering children) is amazing, musically dense. The bass in incredibly textured, the dual guitar work exquisite like the ghostly layers of vox, the drumming progressive and divergent.

The band shares about the song"

"It's a metaphor built around a real news about a Shark being caught by an Eagle in Miami. The metaphor is about human strength when we are put in danger situations, and how that strength is an epic thing to live through and almost a revelation"

-Robb Donker Curtius
