INSIDEAWAVE and the shifting iridescent beauty of "Ultrabeat"

"...illuminating riches but they're the false ones..."

The shifting beats. like the unsteady emotional compass in your brain after an earthquake, the electric piano chords that overlap everso slightly like waves on a beach, the pulsating synths like radio transmissions from somewhere else, lead guitar running up stairs with different sized rises and pristine beautiful vox riding on it all (and more) are some of the artful elements of the dreamy and anxious "Ultrabeat" by Dublin based INSIDEAWAVE.

If you were to dissect the sound here I suppose you would mention post rock, dream pop, post punk, prog-rock, trip hop, electronica and even folk underpinnings but INSIDEAWAVE blends all these genres in such an effortless way as to maybe create a brand new one, genre that is. One that doesn't have to be named.

Utilizing elements of indie, dream pop and folk as their canvas, INSIDEAWAVE create colourful music with modern twists. While having performed extensively on the Dublin independent music scene, critical response to their singles finds them broadening their audience nationally. A memorable live show and an extensive catalog of unreleased material make them one of indie rock’s hidden gems.
