Johnny Johnny & the Johnny's and the surreal barbed hooks of "Fishes To Sing" (Official Video)

I am not a wordsmith but I love song lyrics and get caught up in them. There are not a lot of lyrics to navigate through, to ponder, on Johnny Johnny & the Johnny's artfully curious "Fishes To Sing" but within the context here, amid a thick yet open sound and interestingly poised vocal aesthetic, the sort of repeated mantra-esque lyrical style works. It feels lush, feels hypnotic, creates a fantasy vibe to move inside. After awhile it conjures up questions with open ended answers. After a while it feels like a rave like drug in and of itself. Run it on a loop and you will see what I mean. 

 Johnny Johnny & the Johnny's is the solo project, moniker of  Alberta, Canada based divergent artist / songwriter Luis Lamela and a full length is promised for June (2022).

Johnny’s is a solo project for Luis Lamela, where he writes and records. Among friends like Joel Cain (Beach Towels) and Brad Gibbons (Sir Quilt) he gets the lofi-sound vibe going. Based on Luis’ alter-ego, Johnny’s was created. The project came to life in the 2020-2021 period. Lo-fi, synths and upfront vocals are some of the sounds of Johnny’s. New album set to release in June of 2022.
