The noisy, under the fingernails dirty "Numb & Dumb" by Austin alt punk power trio Sons of Kitsch feel like gothic rock, heavy metal, gunge, punk all mixed up. The sound is particularly raw and yet artful. Brian Murray's lead vocal aesthetic (and guitar) feels inward and angsty supported royally by multi-instrumentalist Ruben Duenez on bass and Wesley Riddle on drums and backing vox. The lovely distortions and emotional fury made me think of an amalgam of artists like The Drones, The Dirtbombs and Beto O'Rourke.
"Numb & Dumb" is one of nine songs from Sons of Kitsch's "Emotional Support Monsters" album.
