Mother Sun and the mystifying alt rock intricacies of "Orange Colossus"

"What’s crawling up your back into your head first thing in the morning? / Recycled thoughts shine dull grey and take up space / Back against a wall that doesn’t move do you feel it breathing? / Turn face to face from far away the orange colossus..."

Take 14 parts Pere Ubu, 6 parts Brian Wilson, 9 parts Oingo Boingo, 2 parts Primus, 8 Parts The Beatles, 12 parts Sparks, 7 Parts Devo, 13 parts "that guy at the liquor store who talks to himself", 5 parts Unknown Mortal Orchestra, 6 parts Mark Mothersbaugh, 8 parts Be Bop Deluxe and 10 parts an actual Orange Bang, blend it all up, drink it and then vomit it up into a glorious shining rainbow in the sky and that would be close to the effervescent, jigger jagger beautiful craziness of "Orange Colossus" from the irrepressible Mother Sun, a four piece band from the interior desert of Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. Of course, they are.

WARNING:  "Orange Colossus" maybe addictive and cause hallucinations.

"Orange Colossus" is the second single to be released from Mother Sun's upcoming record, "Train of Thought" - out 10/28/22.
