Forty Feet Tall and the hyper kinetic artful barrage of 'Nic Cage'

"I'm human for a little longer than just dust..."

The hyper kinetic punch drunk 'Nic Cage' by Portland, Oregon's alt rock indie Forty Feet Tall has the artful barrage of sound that pushes you back on your heels. It is the kind of relentless sound of proto-punk artists back in the late 70's before art punk was even a thing and it feels so fresh as to have that same kind of slap in the face surprising sense about it. Originally from Los Angeles, the band is composed of Cole Gann on guitar and vocals, Brett Marquette on bass, Jack Sehres on guitar and Ian Kelley on drums.

IF you like stabs of sound, rabid drumming, a vocal aesthetic that colors outside the line and the avant garde raw brilliance of old school artists like Pere Ubu, Devo, Oingo Boingo, Primus, Sparks and 90's revisionist bands like The Hives, The Hellacopters you will dig Forty Feet Tall.
