The After Hours and the post punk punch and romance of "Broken Head"

"he's a backwards man, backwards man..."

If you love your 90's graced post punk served with a side of surfy doo wop 80's power pop then you will most assuredly dig "Broken Head" by Harrisburg, Pennsylvania indie trio The After Hours. Like a crunchy sonic collision of The Cure, Joy Division, Spandou Ballet, Thompson Twins and Fun Boy Three, there is a lot of atmospheres swirling together. This could of come out in the late 80's or equally in the mid 2000's (think if the Drums and OSEES had a boisterous baby) but it is 100% now. I have been hearing a lot of current bands inspired by what they might find on origianal scuffed up cassettes, a sort of revisionism shaped by today but lured by the post punk romance of bygone times and I love that.

The After Hours is the recording project of Jordan Trevino, Sean Saman and Elena Rossetto.
