milio pagnotta and the chill, illuminating "me oh my"

"they won't solve any mystery..."

Take what is commonly referred to lounge or lounge punk and elevate with a mellow and beautiful saxophone, dip it all with light jazz sprinkles and you have "me oh my" by Canadian songwriter and multi-instrumentalist milio pagnoatta (Mother Sun / Echo Beach) from Kamloops, British Columbia. I am loving the sonics here. The pulsatting bass, tactile and more upfront than you would expect is one of the high points. Milio's earnest vocal aesthetic feels both chill, endearing and intimate and that aforementioned sax feels like another vocal really, maybe Milio's internal feelings manifested. By the way, both bass and sax are played by the super talented Alex Ward. All other musical aspects crafted and by played by milio who also recorded and mixed at his home (Holy Cow) studio. Mastered by David Perry.

Listen when your mind is still or even if your mind is harried and this will make you feel better.
