FORT and the heavy dark cinema of "Ouroboros"

...from the band's upcoming EP "Once all is said and done we still draw breath"

Amid monstrous guitar strikes that reverberate like something from the heavy metal gods themselves, staccato lead lines penetrate the barrage of sound stirring in gothic post punk atmospheres. That is just part of "Ouroboros" from the Cardiff instrumental quartet FORT. Heavy handed drumming and moody bass lines anchor the track down in a measured way until the song erupts into what feels like a street fight. You might feel, see different imagery as you listen but the sense is a brooding sense of danger and, maybe even romance albeit darkly so.

"Ouroboros" is from the band's upcoming EP "Once all is said and done we still draw breath", the follow up to 2021's "We'll Burn That Bridge When We Get To It" and feels cinematic.

FORT are a 4 piece instrumental post-rock band from South Wales.

Citing Caspian and Sleepmakeswaves as major influences, FORT take to the skies with their reverb drenched guitars and driving basslines. Primarily instrumental, FORT manages to capture a sense of raw emotion, creating soundscapes that take the listener on a cinematic and sometimes primal adventure combining syncopation and alternating time signatures. Soaring crescendos and heavy riffs, with an active and immersive live show, FORT are not to be missed.

The band have established a loyal local following which is now spreading across the U.K. - having played alongside acts such as Angel Number, Soeur, Poly Math, El Moono, Rxptors, Bi-Curious, Trigger Thumb, Invalids (US) and Floral (US) - they continue to pick up fans and hone their craft as an impressive live act.
