The Official Video for "Some Kinda Joke" by Athens, Georgia's art punk stalwarts Garage of Broken Dreams is a perfect exquisitely trashy, wonky, subversive pastiche of late 70's East Coast Avant Garde punk cinema. Not only that, it mirrors that song's aesthetic perfectly. The imagery a slippery, tightly edited blend of 60's Asian sci-fi, grindhouse imagery, soft porn like a stew of kitsch and garish horror pop sensibilities accentuates the diversity of the new wave meets punk overall sound. 

The band, with their art blender on grind, cuts up new wave, post punk, industrial, alt rock and raucous "HEY"s like a collision of Killing Joke / The Rezillos / Bruce Woolley and The Camera Club (or thereabouts). I am totally digging the entire aesthetic so much. "Some Kinda Joke" is from the band's massive 30 track full length "The Hard Way" [featuring members of Mindbrains, McQqeen, Shade, Weaponized Flesh, Doralice, Ventid, Backtalk, Star Period Star, Doralice, Outersea, ICINB, Spork, Unraze, DLPDP, and countless other east & west coast bands you've never heard of.]
