Ian Reynold and the fluttering sad moonlight of "Nesting"

"maybe it's finally time to say what I'm wanting..."

Feeling a little tattered and torn with dog eared imagery, "Nesting" by San Francisco based lo-fi, lounge punk, bedroom pop, indie rock singer songwriter Ian Reynold feels like something cast in 8mm, fluttering by with scratches that let pieces of light blind you. "Nesting" with it's decidedly lounge punk aesthetic but also bathed in soul pop and sadcore could be described as an amalgam of Chicano Batman and Alex G (or something in that open vein). Listening on repeat, I am crushing on the pearly keys that might suggest a Fender Rhodes or Farfisa, the wonderfully sketchy drums, and Ian's vocal aesthetic that floats somewhere between melancholia and stoned melancholia.

Dig this. Dream of that special someone and slow dance, hopefully with that special someone or without.
