Zepet and the lovely heavy pop weight of "Picking Up the Pieces" (Official Lyric Video)

"but in my case my dear love I'm nothing but a sideshow..."

"Picking Up The Pieces" the title track from Buenos Aires, Argentina's Zepet's new album feels like it could be a theme song for probably 66% of the world. I for one would love to be feeling the avocados at the supermarket with this track playing in the atmosphere for the dark comedic series I star in everyday. I absolutely love the vibe here and Zepet's lovely vocal aesthetic. There are actually (ACTUALLY) spaces around the sounds, the notes, the beat that act as a repository for deep thoughts about the the charming lyrics that punch you gently in the gut too.

It is hard not to connect with the bold willful bass line, the pearly lightly dipped in jazz keyboards, the late 70's American pop atmospheres and the guitar adorations - both the strumming acoustic sounds and chunky garden rock lead stuff. I look forward to delving into the album but for now I will replay this themes song as I drove down the 330.
