Haunted Weirdo and the askew stealthy footed rabbit holing of "The Wheel"

"Mirages blowing kisses, massages the surfaces / In the oasis eating sand -- I shoulda bluffed by I showed my hand...."

Haunted Weirdo with it's jazz dipped avant garde indie rock maneuvers and illusions of "The Wheel" feels like it exists in a 1940's sideshow tent that you can't escape from. Cool.

Follow along below with the lyrics and breakdown courtesy of Haunted Weirdo himself.

Mirages blowing kisses, massages the surfaces

In the oasis eating sand -- I shoulda bluffed by I showed my hand

Suckered in with an alluring reflection

This sabotaged tender attachment

I'm a trembling haunted weirdo, lingering in her peripheral

{Bass Break / Glockenspiel solo}

Alarm... Alarm! the subject has just checked out. Alarm. the subject has just checked out. Alarm.

Perpetual seeds of Samsara suffering... But an unbridled sensual glutton can't complain

Alarm! the subject has just checked out! Alarm alarm Alarm! the subject has just checked out! Alarm alarm Alarm! the subject has just checked out. Alarm Alarm ALARM!!

I couldn't tell you why it's happening to you... Karmic retribution been coming into bloom

{Drum Exploration}

Uncomfortable, familiar turmoil

Dust settles like stale decay

Spin in circles

hold the ground

something is bound to change

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM

A bleak blast from the past that sorta-kinda rocks even if it is all acoustic instruments and admittedly hard to "place." But hey! The work is occasionally beautiful, sporadically groovy, and often very weird...

Say again?!? Yes yes, it's Soul Tremors... It was written and recorded in rural Maine during the W. Bush Administration and recently re-mixed by Jonathan Wyman and mastered by Adam Ayan. What can I say?!? You just have to hear it yourself...
