The Ghost Party and the indie psychedelic dream theater of "Severed Hands"

"severed hands they come to me, they show me what they want me to see, to see..."

The Ghost Party’s “Severed Hands” opens up with a perfectly jangly sonic exhale; so casually catchy that you might find yourself bobbing your head and easing into relaxation. This is the first single release from the Texas trio of singer/songwriter McCullough Ferguson, drummer Victor Sanchez and bass/keys player Kendrick Ballard who all happen to be exquisitely talented musicians with 70’s detective names. Inspired by early psych and garage rock, The Ghost Party meshes that signature hazy-fuzzy sound with their own modern flare. While the group delights in analog tape and classic gear, the sound has a crisp and fresh quality to it. If you love The Flying Burrito Brothers as much as you love Spiritualized, Ghost Party is for you. Listen to “Severed Hands” now and keep an eye on these guys if you dig it.

Indie Psych Revival from Texas. The Ghost Party consists of singer-songwriter/guitarist McCullough Ferguson, drummer Victor Sanchez, and bass/keys player Kendrick Ballard. The Ghost Party pays homage to the godfathers of psych rock while advancing the form with a few modern twists and turns. Mixing sunny harmonies, fuzzed out guitars, and vintage combo organs to great effect and recording it to analog tape. Look for their first single "Severed Hands" produced by Khruangbin producer Steve Christensen out now!
