The persistent bass, the rattling syncopated drum beats, the otherworldly drones of sound like ghosts or air raid sirens made hauntingly magnetic, bending, twisting tensions and voices hard to make out. All this, and more, on the darkly mysterious "Re:start" by Doc Days, a solo psych project from Van Nuys, CA. is beautifully heady stuff, the stuff of dark dreams or sound tracks to cause elevations of already crafted agitations in some future theatrical movie or Hulu binger.
