KE KOI KOI and sardonic proto-punk slap and tickle of "Should Be Mine"

"DNA... should be mine!"

Curdling in a late 70's /80's proto punk aesthetic, "Should Be Mine" by German pop punk Schwerin trio KE KOI KOI have crafted a wonky, spiraling Fascist ode for all up and coming dictators in the world or wannabe world dictators like Donald Trump, Geert Wilders, Yahya Sinwar and  man baby control freaks like Elon Musk and Kanye West.

From the bands eponymous album, vocalist Julia Keiling, Raphael Käding on synth and beats and Janis Kuhnt on guitar get everything right and I couldn't help but think of an amalgam of artists like The Flying Lizards, The Normal, Siouxsie And The Banshees, Bauhaus, Christian Death. The absurdist sound, is, surely funny, but the undercurrent is sardonic and biting politico punk.

From KE KOI KOI:

"Should Be Mine is about all the Dictators, who want to get more and more and never get enough because they feel alone in their hearts..."
