The unfettered diversity of "Rainbow Glow" by Guernsey born / Birmingham, UK based singer songwriter Eloise Fabbri feels like hybrid pop infused with a cross generational mix of jazz, funk, soul with proto-punkian attitudes. I mean the listening to the H pop fluidity of "Rainbow Glow" I thought of a heady mix (sonically / attitudinally) of Eartha Kitt, Incognito, various James Bond themes, James Chance and the Contortions, Jamiroqui, Jaco Pastorius and The Lounge Lizards.
Fabbri's vocal aesthetic, magnetic in it's soulful sonic parkour plays wonderfully off the wildly inventive jam band aesthetic- the players on this track, Andy Bunting - Keys / Synths, Johnathon Silk - Drums, Chris Young - Sax, Jamal Augustine - Bass and Tom Ford - Guitar absolutely kill. The synergy here between Fabbri and the band is exquisitely rich and dynamically drawn.
