"try to take your picture but you're pulling away / I don't understand why you're hiding your face..."
Oh, holy glam art rock psychedelia!! The fervent and grand lo-fi exposure of "Take Ur Picture" by Winston-Salem, North Carolina born / Los Angeles based singer songwriter / producer Adam (Addy Baddy) Moore is a kaleidoscopic shape shifting piece of sonic art that if examined (after enjoying, consuming many times over) feels like indie punk rock Tropicália. "Take Ur Picture" while joyfully abstract and potently progressive surprises at every turn and can feel euro pop-esque one second and sort of Queen-esque glam within the same long breath, like an amalgam of Wand, Bass Drum of Death, 90's Weezer and 70's ABBA, there is so much going on.
If you blink, you might miss the sonic gems. That is what the repeat button is for, I suppose. About "Take Ur Picture", Moore says: "This song is a fuzzy alt rock exploration of childhood memories, relationships, and the impermanence of our physical bodies in a world obsessed with appearance."
