Judahvtpe and the anxiety ridden post punk / alt hip hop stare of "The Other Day"

"I never seem to let it go / I pick you up / I want to show you where I got everything I ever start / I treat it like a joke..."

The suffocating obsessive predilections of "The Other Day" by Judahvtpe feels like a meditation constructed of pure anxiety, a wash of regret or second guessing choices, even good ones. Built out of a post punk / proto punk / art punk / alternative hip hop distillation framed in gold and red with hyper thrashing guitar lines while the vocal, done up in between spoken word / hip hop or something else creates repetitive tensions in your stomach and in your brain while also just taking your entire body over from the top down and up again.

The artist shares LINER NOTES about the track:

[The Other Day takes a look into excessive ruminating about the past and future and how it can feel crippling]

I appreciate the tensions and the mirror this track holds up. So relatable, I am ashamed to say or maybe not.

Sonically, around the edges I thought of an amalgam of Bloc Party, Joy Division, The B-52's, Sage Francis, Death Grips not only sonically but attitudinally but yet Judahvtpe is, of course, it's own thing.
