East Coast dreamer Vero Strange (aka Brooklyn-based artist and musician Dan Fisher) & the vast, lush, crystalline art rock cinema of "King of Dogs" might hearken back or step forward though a glittery portal. There is a lot of artful drama going on and dips into realms of 70's space rock and iterations of such that happened in the late 80's too. I, in fact, thought of an amalgam of iconic artists like Bowie, Peter Gabriel and more current artists like James Supercave, Post War Glamour Girls or thereabouts. I appreciate the potent musical breaks and the velvet artistry within the vocal countenance and the lyrics I can pick out, when I can (wish there were more mids in the vocal eq to draw them out of the shadows). Lovely stuff, truly.

His newest project, Vero Strange, is characterized by it's lush, complex arrangements and Fisher's love for the details. With layers upon layers of thought and instrumentation, the result is far more than the sum of it's parts. Intentionally genre-less, but fitting loosely under the umbrella of "Art Rock", Vero Strange allows Fisher to experiment towards a uniquely uncompromising musical vision.
