Who Ate All The Crayons and the exalted indie rock emotionalism of "Tired"

"what if I lived a lonely life / would it make you proud / by making myself a fool / I know nothing more / than the cowardice of a man /  that keeps me whole..."

The exalted emotionalism of "Tired" by Berkshire, England based Who Ate All The Crayons trades moments of true pain and awkward happiness. The indie rock atmospheres sprinkled with balladic ascensions, emo ID rock and a sort of cross generational broad punchy folk rock heaviness surely speaks to all of us in big ways. KEY to the success and sonic heartbreak is the absolutely stunning vocal performance that feels full tilt throughout. It is the kind of vocal performance that punchy that I can only imagine it comes from a natural place, a performance fully felt as opposed to, well, performed.

"what if I swore an oath / wasting my weight in gold / and to hide by the sides of my mind / he wonders around / when there's nothing appreciated for / the plans that he made with his time / how can you fall / into the hands of awkward souls / when you have nowhere to stay / no words to take and hold..."

LINER NOTES (bracketed):

[Tired takes the listener on a journey through emotions. It lets the listener connect and understand why they might feel so tired, fed up with a job, fed up with how a relationship is taking a toll on them. We wrote this track for people that are so tired with the way their lives are heading or the ruts they are stuck and we believe that this track enables people to have 3 minutes of fresh air to just think about all the things making them tired and hopefully giving them the understanding as to why they are tired, hopefully leading them to make the changes in their lives to stop them from being so tired.]
