The mournful melodic panegyric of the French sung "tomber de haut" by Meimuna, the stylish, timeless musical project of Swiss author, composer, singer songwriter, musician Cyrielle Formaz, will likely captivate all of you, even if you don't speak the language. I can remember being intrigued with 60's French Pop. Maybe, by the late 70's the genre seemed to become oversimplified, a caricature of it's former self and eventually maybe it seemed to not disappear but lose it's lustre. Certainly, Formaz has created an improved iteration, her own more organic creations based on an attitude seeded from her beautiful guitar playing. She injects so much emotional weight in her playing that, dressed up or not, it will either break your heart or have it soaring on translucent rainbow wings. Sprinkle Formaz's absolutely stunning emo vocal countenance and you are way past smitten. The other embellishments, orchestrations and cool ambient grooves add a million dancing butterflies.
