"My heros are dyin / My heros are dyin / All my heros are dyin..."
The raw raucous punk throttle of "Elton John" by Shehehe is at once an injection of adrenalin and somber reticence. The supercharged feral nature like something between the classic punk burst of The Ramones and the celebration rock of Japandroids is instantly magnetic. Beneath it all though because I am so far from the vagaries of youth the theme of "Elton John" punches me gently in the stomach.
LINER NOTES:
[“Elton John” is the result of driving in your car and hearing that one of your musical heroes has just died, then finding out moments later they are not dead yet, just ill and recovering, whew! A declaration that the almighty song is immortal and will eternally empower and inspire.]
It's always tough when your musical heroes die. There have been too many to mention. At least, we still have Elton John an "Elton John" to dance to as the latter exists on Shehehe's 4th full length18 track album "Namedroppers".

Shehehe was founded in 2011, and since then they have toured extensively across the United States, earning a reputation for integrity, hard work, good music, and energetic live shows. Our music comes from our hearts and from our lived experience, and that autobiographical style is elevated by a combination of musical influences that culminates in something greater than the sum of its parts.
Not quite punk, not quite rock and roll, their snarly call and response male/female vocals, occasional soft, sweet harmonies, and a scream or two, paired with thumpy, pounding, aggressive, hypnotic rhythms set them apart from other contemporary acts. Heading in to their 6th release and 4th full-length, they can't wait to continue our evolution as a group, and to continue making music we love.
