Don't Worry and penchant for garden rock flowers and mirror stares of "Ever So Clear"

"all night I'm drinking alone / I can't see where this is going / I just need a little time / stay with me / I just need a little..."

The penchant for garden rock flowers and mirror stares of "Ever So Clear" by Essex indie rockers Don't Worry feels at once like an intimate scream amongst friends and a raucous bar sing-a-long with strangers. I thought of a sonic blend of 60's London soulful indie rock (Small Faces comes to mind) and 90's Brit pop rock iterations (Oasis comes to mind) scrambled all together while I listened to the emotional sophisticated songwriting that Don't Worry crafts here. The musical bed is brilliant, old school rock, lead guitar lines that mirror Samuel Watson's endearingly thoughtful hooky vocal melodies is something to sway to, to raise a drink to, to embrace friends and soak in fond memories to.

LINER NOTES:

A taster for their upcoming third album expected in 2025.

"Ever So Clear is about those moments where you catch a glimpse of your whole self and see it for what it truly is. Ugly bits and all.

It came together very quickly during a writing session. The lyrics have mostly stayed the same from the improvised vocals on the demo and I was glad I could finally shoehorn the word ‘schadenfreude’ into a song." songwriter - Samuel Watson
