The crashing burn and overwhelming dark cool caveats of "Teach a man" by Gluecose, an indie duo from Italy and the UK, washes over you in bold impactful ways. A cross cutting collision of darkwave, trip hop, cross generational psychedelia,  90's post punk leans, shoegaze, space rock and darkly drawn dream pop born out of big guitar pulls, layers of synths and drum beats. The duo consists of Marco on the overall production of bass guitar and synths and Sandi contributes a killer vocal countenance at Gluecose's core songwriting / sonic world building featuring collaborations with other musicians from all over. 

I am enamored with the emotional pull that feels utterly filmic (I mean this could have been the theme song for a Bourne Identity flick or something similar as it has a massive reach in terms of it's subversive darkness) but, on the other hand, the lyrics veer into social commentary and political places. For me it rides a tightrope somewhere between the shaping of bro culture, of the cult of personality using content as both a dog whistle for the nefarious and as an opiate of the masses too, the violent nature of men and governments made of men and war builders. I feel like there are so many ways to interpret the words that flow from Sandi's lips in such provocative ways further amped up by the 'walls of sound' production and that wonderfully potent fanning lead guitar lines.
