Tiny Nuclear Reactor by Vern Matz is chill / elegant with eyes looking upward

Tiny Nuclear Reactor by Vern Matz goes down easy. It is a chill yet elegant sort of indie (folkish) song with embracing melodies and eyes looking upward. It is a little college radio type track which is, in my mind, a huge compliment.

ABOUT THE BAND:

Formed by a group of Yale students, Vern Matz toes the line between indie rock, folk, and alternative music. The band is led by frontman Daniel Belgrad, a Korean American who mistrusts penguins due to their tendency to perform acts of violence. Pianist Michael Lituchy is an investment banker who secretly writes songs in the twilight while raising cattle in remote Connecticut. Together, their sound showcases an earnest approach to songwriting and mature musicianship, echoing the work of seminal artists such as Wilco, Mazzy Star, and Death Cab for Cutie.
