"Too Real" by Carina T - pure sentimental pop aesthetic is beautiful

On her track Too Real, London based folk singer songwriter Carina T sings ".... but when I'm with you I can read your mind" and later "when I'm with you I think of nothing and I can say what I wanted you to hear because it doesn't seem too real."  This feeling of being so lost in love (unrequited or not) that your world becomes a dreamland is easy to relate to.

Carina, of Portuguese descent, has a slight accent that adds to her aesthetic. The song with its acoustic guitar, lilting piano and emotional strings is unabashedly dramatic, romantic and earnest. This pure approach feels almost like the kind of over reaching sentimental pop of the 60's and this retro approach is what I find so appealing. It is (in the end) a pure tear jerker.
