"Chaser" by New York's Shore Drive featuring Stella In The Clouds will leave you in a beautiful trance

Shore Drive hail from Brewster, New York and the boys, Anthony Terlizzi (guitar, vox), Rick Emery (guitar), Alex Better (bass) and Frank Vitolo (drums) on their 2019 EP "Flourescent" dish out a mix of alternative rock sort of drenched in a thick grunge sound citing influences as Neil Young, Nirvana, My Bloody Valentine, Gemma Hayes and Sun Kil Moon and, although there are hints of dreamy mellow rock tones to as in the transitional track More Than Enough, there is a heaviness and vocal snarl to their aesthetic.

Five years ago the band was featured on a blog with French singer, multi-instrumentalist, (based in Brooklyn, NYC) Stella In The Clouds which resulted in a heavenly collaboration. The result is the evocative track Chaser. Terlizzi leaves his normally gravel vocal aesthetic behind and both voices meld in such a truly beautiful way. Stella In The Clouds hushed tones have a gravitational pull and Terlizzi's vocal performance shows each word with an honest reflection. The tenderness of the song, the melodic harmony weaving in and through the very thick tactile acoustic guitar progression is absolutely goosebumps inducing. Dreamy synths and backing vox create a fever dream wash along with nuanced drumming and bass. By the end, you are just sitting or lying in a lovely trance.

Sometimes chance opportunities arise and wonderful art happens. I hope it happens again.
