"Violet" by Sea Girls is a super charged indie rocker with lush vox

Violet by Sea Girls (UK) is a super charged indie rocker that made me think of The Killers and Los Campasinos sort of molded together while obviously being their own pop rock entity. The exuberance of this track with heavy indie rock production flourishes are championed by the vocal performance by Henry Camamile. He has such a commanding self assured singing voice poised with a bit of art rock flair.

Speaking of the track, Henry says; “If our other tracks are the shade, then Violet is definitely the light. There is no tortured soul here, just a boy who avoided the inevitable for years, suddenly realises, and throws himself wholeheartedly to someone who’s made for him. Put your face in a sink of ice cold water and that’s how it makes me feel.”

With three EPs and a plethora of tracks under their belts, including the BBC Radio 1-playlisted previous single ‘Damage Done’, as well as a recent live session for Annie Mac (listen here), the band continue their busy summer that has seen them tear apart festivals across the UK and Europe. With explosive sets at Community Festival, TRSMT, Truck, Y Not, Benicassim, Haldern Pop & many more (Closer Video), the boys are primed and ready for a stellar end to 2019.
