Kae Astra beat driven dreams on "Grow" and "Medicate" (Official Video)

AP Track Review

The dreams driven track Grow by Austin, Texas based Kae Astra rides on beats, waves of synths and beautiful trembling vocals. I did, instantly think of Beach House because Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally have sort of perfected and nearly copy written this overall sound but Astra does bring in her own emotional nuances and in the end Grow is a very beautiful moving song. There is a touch of 80's new wave too here that casts wonderful imagery. Look for Astra's debut EP "Fortune" and check out her Official Video for Medicate below.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:

Introducing Kae Astra - an Armenian-American music artist currently based in Austin, TX.
Kae Astra melds her history of music-making with a newfound effervescent energy as front woman and lead songwriter for this project. With this being her debut release, you’d be forgiven for not having heard any of Kae Astra’s music before, but her moody and introspective take on dreamy synth pop - that slots alongside the likes of Beach House, Kate BushMy Morning Jacket, Lana del ReyGrimes - is not easily forgotten.
80’s nostalgia, haunting melodies, and a lush dream pop soundscape intertwine in Kae Astra’s debut EP ‘Fortune’, a collaboration between Kae Astra and Austin, TX mainstays Walker Lukens and Curtis Roush of Bright Light Social Hour, who produced the EP.
The songs were mixed by Danny Reisch (Wye OakThe Octopus ProjectWhite Denim) and mastered by Dave Cooley (M83Animal CollectiveWashed Out). It releases in fall 2019 with a stream of singles coming ahead.
Expect to move and be moved.
