Inks Lake hail from Austin, Texas - and "Bison Dele" is from their post punk debut EP "Where Else"

AP Track Review

Inks Lake are a post-punk band from Austin, TX and Bison Dele was an NBA center who played for Orlando Magic, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit Pistons, won a championship with the Chicago Bulls in 1997 who died under mysterious circumstances in 2002 and as INKS LAKE points out,

"Dele, his girlfriend, his skipper, and his brother all sailed on his Catamaran, but only his brother was the sole survivor."

Bison Dele, the song from Inks Lake's debut EP "Where Else" has dance punk tendencies with shifting time signatures and a chorus that opens up in a big way. The sonic barrage and gritty vox is at once sort of classic Brit punk meets American 90's college radio tones.

Other songs on the EP swing in different ways. Wilderness has dark wave, goth punk tones and Live All Over Each Other push in harder ways post punk art rock ways. I like the aesthetic of the EP. My initial take away feels like a bloody collision of She Wants Revenge and The Bravery.
