On "This Is The Day" Stockholm's Black Beach Baby push nostalgic buttons with their new wave bedroom pop

AP Track Review

This Is The Day by indie duo Black Beach Baby (out of Stockholm, Sweden) might make you think of days gone. It is steeped in 80's wistful tones and that is intentional. The pair have a love for those nostalgic sounds. Their brand of new wave meets bedroom pop is flows on machine beats, sparse productions, bass driven with soaring washed out vocals over jangly sprite guitars. Check out the pop spirited bouncy Loser as well.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:

Black Beach Baby is hailing from Stockholm, Sweden. The duo started crafting their compositions in 2017 and since then has reached the world with two self-released singles.
The main power for their creations is nostalgia. They try to recreate sounds that has already been left in the past and hopefully will help the younger generations to discover and experience them nowadays.
Their upcoming release "This Is the Day" was originally written and recorded in 2017. The lyrics are inspired by getting fired from work and bursted the main topic of the song: loosing ability of living in present time and as a result loosing connection with surrounding. Music has elements of New Wave, bedroom pop and art pop acts. It has been re-recorded and mixed by Black Beach Baby in 2019.
