Jake Bugg's feverishly shifting "Kiss Like The Sun" is the first taste

AP Track Review

Jake Bugg's latest indie pop / offering Kiss Like The Sun burns like a blues roots porch rocker with slide guitar bends but then transforms into something more like dreamy chamber pop with psychedelic dressings. Unfortunately it clocks in at just under 3 minutes long and I was left mid-sip on my coffee with eyebrows raised. I suppose I wanted it to jam more with some slide guitar break but I suppose keeping it short and feverishly shifting only leaves room for extended live versions and that is something to look forward too.

Kiss Like the Sun is the first taste from Bugg's upcoming album working with producer Andrew Watt (Post Malone).

“I love working with Andrew Watt and I’m really pleased with the sound of this track,” Jake says. “I wanted to write something that was fun and a bit light-hearted.”
