"Fish in The Dead Sea" by 52 Hertz Whale is a churning muscular onslaught of sounds

From: Bratislava, Slovakia

Fish in The Dead Sea by the 5 piece post punk band 52 Hertz Whale based, out of Bratislava - Slovakia, is, from the onset. a churning muscular onslaught of sounds. The double time high drilling bass notes, intensive drum filled beat, guitar notes squealing and vocals in full pained wails. When it turns and pulls in a sort of sideways psyche rock thing it adds to the drama. The song builds from the beginning and boils over so quickly so when ends at only a bit over 3 minutes, it feels like an interruption, like a lid was thrust over a hot trash can fire.

It is said:

“Fish In The Dead Sea” is the embodiment of a young men living in post-communist country. Being the children of parents who had to suffer through communist regime and regime change in Slovakia in late 80s, the band feel the weight of socio-cultural environment and the toll that it took on them.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:

52 HERTZ WHALE SAYS:

We're five piece band based in Bratislava, Slovakia. All of us grew in post-communist countries as children of parents who had to live through hard times of communist regime, and we try to use our music as an emotional output of deeply rooted cultural frustration.
