"Minor Roles" by OWL C. feels like a glorious escape (Official Video)

AP Track Review

The track Minor Roles by OWL C. (based out of Madrid, Spain) is an emotional slice of timeless music. At only 2 minutes and 30 seconds in length it ends much, much too quickly like life itself. The thing is, it teases you in with such an endearing sound and vocal and when the whole band jumps in there is this fired up celebratory feel that feels so much like 70's-ish California garden rock, there is a sense of reheated lives and hearts, of hippie vibes and toked psychedelia that feels so refreshing and lovely. The Official Video that flickers with burnt and parched film stock like home movies about beautiful coastal road trips, the affirming parts of life, escaping from our chains and just running away if even for a short time.

OWL C. are Gonzalo / David BernabĂ© / Marco Lipparelli / HĂ©ctor Ngomo.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:

OWL C. is the new name and comeback persona for the former project Owl Captain. This simplification of terms represents a new direction to more organic, subtle and natural sounds. After releasing the album ‘The Insides of Being the Owl Captain’ in 2017 he felt the urge for a different approach to music and everything related. In this new direction the main goal is to combine the best songs whilst being as honest as possible.
All this translates to slow cooked songs full of vocal harmonies and guitar and banjo arrangements. OWL C. is now all about mysterious imperfection mixing the best new alternative folk with 90s emo scene sounds.
