Tyler Hutton's time tripping "Live In The Past" from his debut "Invictus" album

AP Track Review

There are a lot of bands that mine nostalgic sounds of the 60's and 70's whether in a direct fashion or a creative blend of 60's fair and punk but it is rare that you will find such an artist or band who steps into Americana and Brip 60's / 70's pop with such a voice as Tyler Hutton. His debut album, "Invictus" produced by Joel Jerome swims in seas of psychedelia and Mersey back beats. On the track Live In The Past, Hutton's deep vocal push reminds me a bit of Clem Curtis (RIP) of the iconic 60's soul pop band The Foundations (Now That I Found You, Build Me A Buttercup) and  Pete Ham (RIP - Badfinger). The melodic twists and turns might just pay homage to the Beatles. Either way, it feels pure.

Tyler Hutton is a songwriter and performer based out of L.A.and is also a member of Soul Shadows.
