NYC's Native Sun boil over with a garage punk diatribe on "Juarez" (Official Video)

NYC's Native Sun boil over with punk, garage rock, post punk steam rollers. Comprised of immigrants from Latin America a lot of their songs burn about racism, "institutional rot and finding joy amidst the chaos" as they say. And that is key isn't it, finding joy, brotherhood and sisterhood among us all trying to get by. It ain't easy and if there is only one thing I know is that we are all immigrants or born from them. In the good ole' US of A even the indigenous people came from somewhere else if you go back far enough. No Natives really except for the Sun itself. hmmmm?

The track Juarez feels like a true punk rock diatribe, passionate and feral, "If you want a chance you gotta risk it all!"

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:

Meet Native Sun. They play loud.
Their music seems both unstuck in time – referencing multiple waves of NYC punk, classic rock n roll, and low-slung doom – while also feeling decidedly of the moment. Filtering the sound of white Americana through their personal experiences as Colombian and Mexican immigrants leads to a brand of guitar music that feels decidedly alive, decidedly awake, littered with explosive outcries against generational racism, institutional rot, and so much more.
After releasing their first two EPs — Songs Born from Love and Hate and Always Different, Always the Same — the band is back with a series of singles that started with “Oedipus Race” and now moves on to “Juarez,” Grand Jury Music's first release with the band, out today!
Both song have been compiled on a new 7″. It’s pressed on clear vinyl, and is available for purchase now.
The band is set to celebrate the release of the new song with a show at NYC's The Dance tomorrow, February 8th. Tickets available now. Next month they'll hit the road to support White Reaper on the west coast before heading down to Austin, TX for this year's SXSW Music Festival.

What’s more American than a band of immigrants? Native Sun doesn’t so much ask the question as demand an answer with their cataclysmic resistance by audio. In our time of division, the four-piece brings their personal contexts front and center, unabashedly reimagining the sound of white Americana through their (mostly) brown mouths — empowered by the will to make music against all hostility. Harkening back to a time when rock n' roll meant something, they've not only reinvigorated, but have conquered the New York music scene, selling out shows, getting shut down by the cops, and finding themselves amongst the ranks of bands like Psychic Ills, Sunflower Bean, DEATH, Wavves, Night Beats, and The Nude Party. After releasing their first two EPs — ‘Songs Born from Love and Hate’ and ‘Always Different, Always the Same’ — the band is back with their latest singles “Oedipus Race" & "Juarez."
