Reno Royale's pained sweetness on "Be Like Them" was captured old school

Be Like Them has a pained sweetness about it. It was lovingly recorded in an organic way by Reno Royale, a band that is geographically apart, contained in both Virginia and Washington. Their goal is old school, pure authentic self recorded songs without the aid of midi instruments or samples. As you listen to Be Like Them, knowing that might not make the song better but to me it does feel like the icing on the cake, the cherry at the top of your Sundae. A big part of Be Like Them is also just the beautiful vocals and vocal harmonies, something I always appreciate in any song.

Reno Royale is a band that is split between Virginia, Washington State and Michigan. All of our songs are self recorded without the aid of midi instruments or samples.The goal is pure/authentic music. This song was written, recorded, mixed and mastered in two days. We did it that way as a challenge to see how quickly we could complete a song without sacrificing quality. I wrote this song after a personal experience altered the way I choose to represent myself in a social setting.The lyrics are up to interpretation but as for me, they're about how quickly people can change themselves to please their peers.
