Wah Wah Club's dark Gothic fantasy in the animated "Black Rainbow" (Official Video)

Official Video

The Official Video for Wah Wah Club's Gothic fantasy "Black Rainbow" is a dark fantasy produced by Ru Cook (Lost Boys Studio) and Sarah Harrison (Harrison Illustration) in an artisan video style they have dubbed 'Nouveau Collage'. While the dark fantasy imagery has whimsical moments the impetus of the song itself speaks of lead singer / guitarist Daniel Buckland's battle with drug addition and his journey through rehab. Black Rainbow referring to the constant "ever present enslavement of craving that can't quite be shaken off and follows wherever he goes..."

The song Black Rainbow (itself) within it's heavy rock sound has elements of grunge tones and proggy art rock jaggedness, a sense of 90's rock is there too. A great mix of motifs with dark yet romantic poetry.
