Dublin's TV People and the sonic punch of "Time Eats Up"

"losing days"

Dublin's TV People on their rough and ready Time Eats Up swing hard. Every second of this track is punchy, the guitars don't lay back but stand up on their toes and the drums are heavy handed. That is not too say that the melody lines and chords feel dumb or two broad... no, there is a artistic lilt to the guitar lines and Paul Donohoe's vocal aesthetic that feels sort of like 80's romantic wave but when the song gets in your face, it does so in a formidable way with fists clenched. I dig this sound.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:

Hailing from the heart of Ireland's capital, TV People are a Dublin four-piece who lace their indie/garage rock sound with punk-infused undertones. Despite forming early 2019, the band have been honing their craft across the live scene, making themselves one of the most exciting bands coming out of Dublin right now.

First toying with the idea of creating the band, Paul, Brendan and Len later recruited Rob to perfect the group's dynamic. Since, TV People have worked with Dan Doherty (Darklands Audio) and Christian Wright (Abbey Road Studios) on their latest releases and also garnered support from the likes of Earmilk, Little Indie Blogs, When The Horn Blows, Analogue Trash, Indie Buddie, Amazing Radio, RTÉ and 98FM, plus more.

With the positive response from tastemakers so far, TV People aim to continue releasing their gritty sounds throughout 2020. Watch this space, TV People are heading to be frontrunners on the Irish rock scene.

TV People are vocalist and lead guitarist Paul Donohoe, fellow vocalist and rhythm guitarist Len Rochford, Rob Kavanagh on bass and Brendan Clarke on drums.
