Johnny Franco, Sao Paulo to Portland, 60's convergence of genres on "Tell Me Something"

"What’s the talk of the town?"
Brazilian born singer-songwriter, musician and all around bon vivant Johnny Franco who moved from his native Sao Paulo to Portland, Oregon turns heads with his musical styles that embodies classic rock and pop, when pop was the same as rock and vice versa. The iconic 60's convergence of blues, honky tonk, rock, country, chamber pop and more and the track Tell Me Something from Franco's jubilant EP "Experience Report #1", out on Blanket Fort records is a kind of broad homage to that anything goes merging of sights, sounds, cultures and colors.

"Tell Me Something" is a rowdy and stylish tune with heavy doses of nostalgia. The lyrics are an ambiguous nod to Johnny's life on the streets in Portland and commentary on the haves and the have nots.- Press notes
