Citrus Lover draw beautiful rock lines through tightly wound psychedelia on "Give Me A Shade (All I Need)"

Citrus Lover's track Give Me A Shade (All I Need) floats along on post rock trippiness. As chill as it first appears, it is deceptively tightly wound. While the electric guitar strums and picking feel folk rock in nature (at first) it veers off into half step psychedelia while the bass exquisitely wraps around and through the poised drum patterns. The vocal aesthetic is beautifully drawn out eclipsing the discordant textures. Loving this.

Citrus Lover are from the Bay Area of California and are Sid Rai (guitar, songwriter), born and raised in Nepal, Josh Venegas (bassist, songwriter) and Alex Remiticado (drummer).

There diverse backgrounds blend classical, modern jazz, funk, and varied genres of rock.

Citrus Lover is a multi-genre trio of musicians who come from vastly diverse musical backgrounds who joined forces in the Bay Area of California. Guitarist and song writer, Sid Rai, was born and raised in Nepal and is a self-taught musician who's music is infused with the unique sounds from his hometown. Bassist and song-writer, Josh Venegas, has a musical history in guitar and trombone with strong ties to blues rock and alternative musical styles. Drummer, Alex Remiticado, has a strong background in classical & modern jazz, funk, and rock. He competed in large-name jazz festivals like The Monterey Jazz Festival and Essentially Ellington in New York. Together, the 3 artists created Citrus Lover and have a melting pot of original music ranging from blues rock, to indie, to alternative, to funk, to psychedelic rock and beyond.
