Francis Farmer's kaleidoscope croons on "Don" from his "Bruised Fruit" EP

"the cheery moment ends...."

Francis Farmer hails from Seattle, Washington and the track Don with it's sort of psychedelic Brit pop-esque croons and garden rock lead guitars that lay down with each other feels so hyper realistic. The production full of whimsical musical breaks and kaleidoscope moments might give you a contact high.

Of the track, Farmer says: "I popped my bike tire at the park, I then sat on a bench and thought about two people I'd known that had recently committed suicide. I wanted to know why they did it, and I also wanted to make it clear to people that it should never be an option. After sitting on the bench for awhile I walked my bike home and wrote this song."

Don is from his current EP "Bruised Fruit" and even a cursory listen will make you realize that Farmer (as a songwriter) likes to veer into the half step loveliness of deep folk rock that is bathed in both glam and art rock affectations. Just swim in the purple depth of Big Night or Time In The Sun and you will happily drown in his musical poetry.
