Moonspeak's lush hyper-realistic art rock passion play "Escape Velocity"

"what was I supposed to do?"

Moonspeak is the brainchild of Sweden's Robert Jallinder (Vita Bergen) and the dramatic art rock track, Escape Velocity, is from their debut album "Nowanights" produced by band member Jakob Kullberg and scheduled for an early fall release. The song rides on sprite baroque pop piano and Jallinder's rich vocal aesthetic and storytelling. As sort of western Americana post rock guitars fused in a sort of 60's torch song reality and orchestrated sounds propelled by a rock steady bass and drum push, Jallinder tells his tear jerker. It is dramatic, totally theatrical, a lush, hyper-realistic art rock passion play. For me it works because it allows me to get lost in it's fable and I don't think anyone could deny Jallinder's mesmerizing vocals. Amazing.
